MVSD has released its "People of Dance" video! Given the Covid-19 pandemic, we wanted to find a way to offer technology-related professional development to staff while having fun and staying safe. This video was created as a way to bring joy, build community, and practice technology skills; we're proud to highlight 11 different schools/buildings and a variety of divisional departments. The National STEAM Summer Camp, held virtually from July 19-23, 2021, is designed to introduce students entering grades 7-12 to the many opportunities in the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) field through fun and interactive activities. This week-long event helps children recognize the importance of their education while exposing them to a wide variety of careers. Click on the above link for more info!

MVSD will be presenting and debating a resolution at the June 28, 2021 Regular Board meeting relating to the disposition of the Gilbert Plains Bus Garage and Winnipegosis Bus Garage properties. Please note that with the wrap up of synchronous classes, any loaned laptops and charging cords should be returned to the main office of your school between Monday, June 21st and Friday, June 25th. The specific return date is dependent on individual student schedules but the LAST day is Friday, June 25th.

Doctors Manitoba has planned a Vaccine Town Hall for Youth and Parents on Tuesday, June 22 at 6:30 PM. The town hall will allow Manitobans to ask questions and raise concerns about the COVID-19 vaccines and get trusted answers from doctors. Click on the link for details!

Due to current COVID-19 Public Health Protocols, the GPCI Graduation Ceremony will be by invitation only. A recording of the ceremony will be posted on the website once it is available. A parade is planned on Friday, Jun. 18th at approximately 5:00 PM - please adhere to the Public Health Order Guidelines in the link above. Thank you in advance for supporting our efforts to make the best celebration possible for our graduates, while respecting the health orders!
