EXTENDED DEADLINE to June 10, 2022! The Provincial Task Force on Poverty and Education is inviting Manitoba youth, ages 14 to 21 to share their lived experiences, perspectives, and ideas to help eliminate the impacts of poverty on students. Assiniboine Community College and Mountain View School Division will host the 10th annual Graduation Powwow virtually this year and would like to honour ALL graduates within our school communities in a video production. The Hon. Wayne Ewasko, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Learning, has proclaimed the month of May, 2022 as "Music Month" in recognition of the important contributions of musicians, music educators and music education programs in our schools and communities. The Mountain View School Division Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Jaddock to the position of Superintendent/CEO of Mountain View School Division effective July 1, 2022. Click on the above link for details!

Recently, the Terry Fox Foundation sent our Division a letter of gratitude for raising just over $2,000 for the 2021 Terry Fox School Run. MVSD is proud of our school communities in their efforts to support cancer research!

As our communities and school division emerge from the challenges of COVID-19, MVSD is looking forward to planning for the 2022-2023 school year. We ask parents/guardians and community members to help us in our planning by completing our survey by Friday, May 6, 2022 at 4:00 PM. A separate survey will be available for students and staff. Mountain View School Division will lower its flags to half-mast on Thursday, April 28, 2022 to mark the Day of Mourning, which is dedicated to remember and honour those who lost their lives or were injured in the workplace.

Wednesday, April 27, 2022 is Administrative Professionals Day. On behalf of Senior Administration and the Board of Trustees, we would like to recognize the dedication and hard work of the Administrative Professionals throughout the Division!
